What areas can be treated with BOTOX® ?
For cosmetic applications, BOTOX® can be used to address lines and wrinkles on the forehead and eye area (crow’s feet), as well as lip lines. It may also be injected to soften dimpling of the chin or into the muscles of the jaw to create a slimmer appearance. In some cases, BOTOX® may also be used by dermatologists to treat medical conditions such as hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating.
How does BOTOX® work?
BOTOX® is a neurotoxin that is injected into targeted treatment areas using an ultra-fine needle. BOTOX® works by blocking nerve signals to prevent the muscles in certain areas of the face from contracting, allowing the skin to remain smooth and unwrinkled.
Do BOTOX® injections hurt?
BOTOX® treatments are quick and not considered painful. Most clients say they experience minimal discomfort during the injection process, but that it does not continue after the completion of the procedure. Because treatment requires no anesthesia or recovery time, some patients even schedule appointments for injections during their lunch hour and can return to work right after their appointment.
What age should I start getting BOTOX® injections?
Many patients wonder if they are too young or too old to try BOTOX®. Some begin treatment as a preventative measure at the first site of lines and wrinkles. Others wait until later in life when these expression lines become more prominent.
WILL I SEE RESULTS QUICKLY? HOW LONG DO TREATMENT EFFECTS LAST?
You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines. The outcome will vary from person to person. The location of the injection and the amount used are the biggest factors that may affect how long it lasts. Other factors include your age, the elasticity of your skin, and wrinkle depth. Over time when facial muscles are not used, they eventually get shorter and smaller so regular use of BOTOX® may extend the results for longer periods of time. We will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.
Are there any adverse side effects?
As with any procedure, whether medical or cosmetic, there is always a risk of side effects. Some patients may experience bruising, swelling, redness or tenderness around the injection site. These side effects resolve on their own within a few days or up to a week following treatment.
Is there anything I need to do to prepare for my treatment?
Come to appointment with clean face and avoid blood thinners (like aspirin) and alcohol the 48 hrs. prior to minimize or avoid mild bruising.

For slimming face
The Facial Slimming Enhancer is an excellent addition to the Chin and Jawline Contour treatment. Often, bottom-heavy cheeks obscure the jawline and create an undefined transition between the face and neck. By slimming bottom-heavy cheeks we are able to alter the facial shape, making it less round and revealing more definition to the jawline.
Enhance Mandibular Angle
The angle of the mandible is located at the back corner of the jawline. This area of the jawline helps frame the face and create delineation between the face and neck. Beneficial to men and women, shaping the mandibular angle can anchor the profile and create facial shape.
A Nefertiti neck lift is a cosmetic procedure performed with BOTOX® injections in the lower part of your face, jaw, and neck.
The procedure’s name refers to the ancient Egyptian Queen Nefertiti, known for her elongated, thin neck. The Nefertiti lift targets the platysma band of muscles that run vertically from the bottom of the face to your collarbone.
We will inject into specific parts of this muscle to:
lessen lines around the bottom part of the face
smooth dimpled skin on the chin
erase or reduce folds or sagging of the lower part of the face
even out the symmetry of the lower face, jaw, and neck
remove lines on the neck
create a more pronounced definition of the jaw
A Nefertiti lift is a temporary way to restore a youthful look without surgery.
The goal of BOTOX® aftercare is to encourage optimal treatment results. It can also minimize the risk of bruising and spreading to other areas.
Generally, on the day you get injected, it’s a good idea to:
gently exercise your face
relax for the rest of the day
maintain a normal heart rate
avoid touching, rubbing, or physical pressure on the affected area
leave the treated area alone
BOTOX® injections don’t require any recovery time. Therefore, you won’t have to take off work or school. You can resume your usual activities right after.
Wait 24 hours to exercise
Physical activity increases blood flow. This could potentially spread the toxin to unintended areas and reduce its effectiveness at the injection site. It also increases the risk of bruising.
Exercise also contracts your muscles, which may decrease the toxin’s effectiveness.
Take a break from makeup for 24 hours. Applying makeup will rub the skin, potentially dispersing the toxin.
Sit up for the first 4 hours after getting injected. Bending or lying down might spread the toxin and promote bruising.
